Practice ECG 16
All right, are you ready for some fun? This is an example of AV dissociation. The P wave dissociates itself from the QRS complex on the second beat and then reappears at the eighth complex. This pattern of NSR with some periods of slowly progressing AV dissociation was found on a patient who complained of syncope. Remember to get the patient's history. Syncope with this type of AV dissociation needs thorough evaluation.
The patient also has evidence of S1Q3T3 pattern, and an incomplete RBBB pattern.
